5 Amazon Learning Toys My Toddlers Actually Love (That Teach, Too!)

As a preschool teacher and mom of two curious boys, I know the struggle of finding toys that are both fun and educational. Some toys end up in the corner after a day… others keep little hands busy for months. Here are five Amazon finds that have stood the test of time in our home — and teach real skills like fine motor, language, and focus along the way!

1. Melissa & Doug Farm Wooden Chunky Puzzle

Why We Love It: These chunky puzzles are perfect for tiny hands and help build problem-solving and shape recognition. The adorable animal shapes double as play figures.

4. Melissa & Doug Water Wow! Reusable Coloring Pads (3-Pack)

Why We Love It: Just add water to the pen and “paint” the pages — colors magically appear! Then the pages dry and can be reused again and again. Mess-free art is a lifesaver.

5. LeapFrog Fridge Phonics Magnetic Letter Set

Why We Love It: My kids stick these letters to the fridge and learn sounds while I cook. It sings the ABCs and sounds out each letter — a fun way to sneak in literacy time.

These toys have made our home feel a little more like a classroom (in the best way). I’ll be sharing more favorites soon — including sensory bins, printable learning tools, and toddler reading lists.
